Can't afford any until I get paid but looks like I'm going to be working with horses this summer. I have a pair of chunky jod boots that will do untl I get paid but they rub a bit. I had a brill pair of lace up harry halls when I was last working with horses but they died and they don't make them anymore

Want another chunky pair, pref lace up, that I can ride in....any ideas?

Really my mountain horse ones lasted ages! There are some laceup boots in both Robinson's and Rideaway that don't cost a fortune hun. There are some Harry Hall ones - I think the style is called 'Alegre??' that I have been eyeing they're laceup and come in black or brown and are £39.99.

I looooooove my Ariat Terrains, and I have rarely heard a bad word said about the Mountain Horse Rider II boots. I work on a yard in my Ariats and they stand up to it really well (and are the only boots that I can comfortably stand and walk in for pretty much 10 hours solid).

I have a pair of long Tuffa yard boots, they are really comfy and nice to ride in. I'm on my second pair now, the first lasted me 2 years and I wear them everyday as I work with horses too.

My Mountain Horse ones lasted for ages too. I loved them, they only 'died' when my lab got hold of one and chewed it to bits (must have taken her all night!)
