I've never had a cob in my life before, and dont really know what boots to get him.

Are his legs chunky enough to actually even have a problem fitting boots?

Most brands do a width sizing, so what you need to do is measure his "bone"...circumference of the cannon bone around the mid point of where the boot would go. Take it in inches and cm. If you are thinking about sports boots you will need to measure fetlock joint as well. It may be an idea to measure that anyway, so you have a record should anything increase in size. Would buy brushing boots for when you school, as they can knock themesleves and throw up splints which can be really painful and make them lame for a bit.
