can anyone reccomend, so nice boots (pref white) for schooling in, pref somethign that will offer support and protection.

i do like the look of the sport boots/wraps, but do they restrict movement going aroing the feltock joint, can anyone reccomend a brand as theres 1000s

can I ask the obvious question of "why on earth do you want white?!"?????????

for schooling they're just going to get dirty and crappy almost as soon as they look at a school - and thats if you don't take them out in the rain!!!

is it support and protection you want or something to pose in? :-P

if its posing - white bandages all the way surely...

the eskadron all round boots are fab-tough,support well, and wash up well.

avoid the stretch and flex if your horse brushes at all as holes appear uber quick.

veredus original piaffes boots are fab too, great support but will stain easier than the eskadrons, i only use mine for show warm ups on white surfaces lol!!!

the new evo veredus piaffe boots look space age cool but IMHO are not better than the originals so only worth the extra £££ in terms of posing.

premier equine are a good cheaper alterantive to the piaffes but again will stain on orange sand/rubber surfaces.

woof wear are cheap, but no good for serious support.

oo thankyou !!

ANd theres no particular reason for white, ill have any colour really. dont want them for posing in as theres only me really at the yard im on lol

im wanting protection mostly, as she has really fine legs.

Why not white!?!??! I hate it when people say ''why do you want white'' she obvs wants white coz she likes white!!!?!!?!?

Same if you go into a shop and buy something, you choose that colour from the others coz you like it!?!?!?

I would use bandages, I love bandages so much easier, cheaper and offer more protection!!!!!

I like the mark todd brushing boots also they are lovely!!!

xx

I second the Eskadron All Round boots, they are the best of their kind I've seen. The Piaffe Evo boots don't last, do fall apart, and are tricky to get the fitting right.

Just a little something to bear in mind. Minimise change or differences. The margins between winning and not winning can be so small so anything you can do to minimise differences between the arena and the school are always worth considering. If you wear boots in competition try to train in exactly the same at home.

We use brushing boots that are made by Pfaff - they make for a lot of UK brand names (who knows we may even do something along those lines in the future if there was demand - they're a good company!), so we can have exactly the same boot as a budget buy for trashing during schooling but the same boot in a better/matching and branded colour for competition.
