Borde Hill BE100....There's always another day! (pics)

what a very handsome chap. i think youre right to save him for another day, after all you know him best and sounds like the dressage and sj were great.

i know too many people who dont have their horses best interests at heart and plug on regardless.

Because you look after him so well im sure is why he trys his best..

He's actually 15.2hh with shoes on so not that small, but he's very compact and quite chunky!! Sadly just simply doesnt have oodles of spring and although he can jump 1.10m he has to be absolutely right to the fence and I like them to be able to jump themselves out of trouble so 1m/1.05m is really his max. but he makes up for it with his neatness and lovely attitude :D

A BIG WELL DONE FOR RETIRING! too many peeps push their poor horses to breaking point! Well done DR and SJ, the SJ caused carnage! - by the sounds you did the right thing esp the problems happening at the water.

Just a word of caution about ground at BCA, it is natoriously hard there and it dose not look like we will be getting much rain. I am sure the guys will do a stellar job and do all that they can, but unfortunately there is only so much we can do against this weather! good luck what ever you decide. x

Thanks, have been to BCA a few times and yes ideally a large downpour of rain would be incredibly useful! Saw last night that the very helpful Ann Allen has managed to squeeze me (along with Eventer96 :D ) into a BE90 section so hopefully that will be nice confidence boost for Jack. As for the ground we shall have to play each phase by ear :)
