Hi,

Well after 35 years as dog owners, my parents have recently had to say goodbye to their last and only dog a JRT called Lacey.

Mum and Dad are heartbroken but just cant get used to life without a dog and so are looking again.

Mum wants to get back into Collies. She used to own these back in the 90's and did lots with them inc obedience and fly ball.

Dad always had he's JRT Wilf with him everywhere he went.

Since its been a long time since they bought a dog, I thought I would try and help them and ask you guys if you know of any good breeders for Collies and JRT. Mum and Dad live in Middlesex but are willing to travel a fair way for the right dog.

Thanks everyone :-)

Wiccaweys BC rescue!! They are 100% the best rescue around and will match the dog to the people!! :D I've got 2 JRT's looking for homes right now too, 1 18 month old rough coated male, absolutely fantastic little dog! Been worked but failed as he was scared for the dark..so not good with cats etc but fabulous with kids, other dogs and people. Will need time to get used to living in a house but as I also own an ex-working JRT I can promise it's worth the work!!! Or Solo a beautiful 6 year old bitch, been used for breeding and now looking to enjoy the rest of her life in a loving home. Again she'll need time to adapt to a home life but a wonderful friendly little girl. Perfect with people and other dogs, but again as a working type no good with cats and rabbits etc.

Let me know if they are interested, they will need to guarantee the dogs will be nutuered on adoption but otherwise they are free to good homes. I will requesting home checks.

Mum and Dad are adamant that they want pups. My Mum also shows and breeds British Shorthair Cats so her house and garden is home to ALOT of cats ;). I think this is their main reason for wanting a pup, so that they can raise the pup with the cats and Grandchildren (one due Dec and one 14 months old). :)

I totally understand...although having just adopted a lurcher puppy myself I'm remembering why I usually stick to older rescues...puppies are a nightmare!!! Hope they find something, tell them to try Wiccaweys they get some BC puppies in. ;)
