Interesting thought. I'm not positive that he likes the taste of 'tail' or the action of swinging from it. Gotta think on this……

Double whammy, tail bag covered in No Chew. Tastes nasty and tail protected (also tail not absolutely disgusting).

Plait tail up? although that won't stop him swining on it. My friend had this problem she also had a lovely natured tolerant horse. Also second the tail bag and maybe try Megatek shampoo have it on a horse who came with a tiny rubbed tail and it worked quite well (also great for any rubs or bald patches). Nochew is vile stuff I accidentally sprayed it in my eyes on a windy day oh the pain I was blind for half an hour!!
