Border collie puppy of the year update

A while ago i posted about the invite i recieved to attend the border collie pup of the year , having qualified via champ shows , well we went today, Pup was shown really well by my daughter and looked lovely, we did'nt come anywhere but hey ho never mind .
The thing that did disgust us however was the condition of some of the ' faces ' dogs which did well, yellow and white and nervous of the judge , makes me cross , i would never show my dog in such a state , makes you wonder why you bother , very clicky world the dog show world !

Club shows definatly . won't be bothering with them , done very well at open shows so can't complain really

Thats a shame, you should be proud that you got that far and your daughter will have learned a lot. I think in dog/horse showing there will always be the clicky element but dont let it put you off, another day,another judge a different result.
