Boss Horseboxes-anyone any experience please..

I dont have one (I wish) but a friend of a friend has just taken delivery of a brand new one built to order. Its lovely, she only ever travels one fairly light dressage horse in there and there is loads of room. She got it kitted out with all the optional extras and they appear to have been very good with her, nothing too large or small to do.

I test-drove one yesterday - very nice indeed. PM me if you have particular questions - across the 3 lockers available, very roomy, well sited, certainly plenty of room. Good finish all round.

And I am comparing them to the Theaults - which I have been hiring all year. Both are great horse boxes, both drive beautifully and are very well finished - my horses love the Theault and self-load, they are so comfortable in the horse area - but the BOSS provides a minor element of human comfort which the Theaults don't, IMO.

thanks Hen, thats very important to me, that mum has somewhere nice to sit/finds it nice to drive etc, as she will still come and help me at shows.

glad to hear the lockers are roomy as i have loads of bits and bobs in current lorry!!!

squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal, really excited.will pass this on to dad, who is dead chuffed with himself for finding a make id never heard of, that seems to fit the bill!

I have a tack locker in my Theault, it is lovely really easy to get tack in and out, the tack locker is fully lockable but also can be removed, so if you needed to get your horse out of the back of the horsebox you can still do this. I love my Theault it is so strong and safe, well worth the extra cost.

yes they are nice there is someone that comes to my instructor with one hers was new and built to order, they have got a look of quality however at nearly £40 K not good value, heck you could be driving a very nice second hand proper horse box for that sort of money and know you could nearly get your money back if you sold it on in a year or so, bet she would be lucky to get 20k for it at 2 years old....
