Are they any good? Have got one of their bibs which has been brilliant but was just wondering (before I invest) if they might prevent the 2-plaits width chunk of mane from going missing this winter? Any assistance gratefully received!

i have tried all sorts of hoods and bibs and still lost essential bits of mane, invested in snuggy jams headless hood this year so hopefully that will work

I have decided not use any neck covers this winter except in extreme circumstances. The effort required to clean them up has to be less than the effort of trying to plait the missing part of mane!

My bambinos that's the magic shampoo :D Fantastic stuff, realy does work :D

Sorry can't help with the hoods. But will be watching this thread as I need to get one for Herbs next summer. He rubbed his mane out due to sweetitch last summer, So this summer I got him a sweetitch rug and this year the rug has rubbed half his mane out :(

My mares mane has just grown back and i don't want her to lose it again so will watch this thread with interest. I stitched some silky panels into the neck covers and that did help, she only lost a little bit. I said i would just those rugs only in severe weather but she is getting on a bit and feels the cold. I need to keep her cosy so she doesn't drop weight.

Slightly my problem too, as soon as he's not toasty he starts dropping weight left, right & centre!

The mane falls out due to heat of the neck rug on hair folicales not rubbing that's why they don't work , so I'm lead to believe anyway.
