I've seen this advertised recently and thought it would help tremendously to keep a constant fresh lining against the horse's skin. Will certainly wash much easier in my washing machine than the full 6'6 rug...

Is anyone currently using one? I'd love to hear your thoughts on them.

(I've used the bossy's bibs in the past on previous rugs and they were really good.)

I use the Snuggy Hoods silky petticoat rug (which are in the sale till Friday at just £16 ish) and they are great. I haven't tried the Bossy version but they look pretty similar. If the horse is chunky I would go up a size

Thanks for that info.

I've just had a look and thought they were amazingly cheap for what you get and it would do the job, but had doubts about how it would fit my very high withered, big shouldered TB. Currently all their larger sizes are out of stock so I can't even try a size up. I think I'll save up for Bossy's rug as I know it will fit perfectly.

I'd be interested to know too. I have Bossy's Bibs and love them but I do find they rip quite easily so I would be concerned a rug would be even more likely to rip.

Hi. I ended up buying a 6'6 bossy's rug and it's definitely from the same material as the bossy's bibs. There's the usual loop at the front where the rug's one buckle can be pulled through, and at the back end there are two plastic clips which can clip onto the clips of the leg straps or fillet strings on the rug being used. I think I had the large full bossy bib, and that fitted perfectly at the wither and was really roomy at the chest area too. With the bossy's rug, it still fits satisfactory at the front but I have found that it needs to be pulled right forward for a better fit. The hole for the neck and head to go through is possibly not as generous in size as the bossy's bib, so if the bossy's rug is placed too far back then I think it may feel uncomfortable for a horse. If your bossy bibs used to rip quite easily, maybe you can call them to help you decided on the most appropriate size to go for, as there are so many sizes to choose from. I should think that the better they fit, the less likely they'll be to rip due to e.g. too much pressure when the horse suddenly decides to play energetically and there's lots of bucking and rearing going on. Just thought I'd give you my thoughts, hopefully it's somehow helpful.

I've got one but I haven't used it yet as I'm currently using a snuggy under rug to keep his belly clean!
Bossy were amazing when I purchased the rug and made it to fit at no extra cost.

Oh pooh, wish I had known before ordering that they do made to measures! I'm sure yours will fit and do the job beautifully.
