Bought a new lick

I was wondering about rubbing the horslyx on it but yes some feed might work. I think he is scared of it at the moment. TBs huh - who'd have one!!!

i use cow licks instead of horse licks, check with manufacturers before that they are safe though! none of my horses will touch a horse lick but if you put a cow lick in the field they go mad for it!! does them the world of good and its loads cheaper than horse ones!!!

I bought Fleur an apple flavoured one a couple of days ago and she hasn't so much as sniffed at it - have even licked it myself to give her the general idea, much to her disdain. I think I bought it more for myself than for her - she isn't bored or stressed and at 27 perhaps she is too old to be learning new tricks!

pmsl at you licking it to show her

It wasn't too bad, the banana one smelt gorgeous so when I've finished the apple one I'm going to get one of those!

Are these the likits? If so they do taste lovely, I have to stop my daughter taking chunks out of them before she gives them to the horse! The cherry is nice as is the raspberry & vanilla, but don't try the carrot, salt or garlic onces they are not nice!

Didn't like the idea of the salt one, but thought the carrot one should have been ok.

Fleur is still showing no interest - more for me! I can't wait to try the raspberry and vanilla ones, I didn't see those flavours in the tack shop.
