I normally buy natives, highlands and Connemara but because I am having to pay for backing and the market has been so poor my strategy was to go a bit bigger. Connemara mare is in foal to Amour G for next year hopefully to produce a small sports horse but I spotted a foal by Amorous Archie locally and took the plunge.
Still not quite sure what I have done, he is at the wonky donkey stage but is spreading out, turned out with the pony equivalent of Fletch from Porridge until he is big enough to go out with the bigger boys.
It seems unfair that its a lot easier than breeding your own
