I did day before dressage. Working in ground was really rough and my boy wasnt too keen on going forward but went in and did a fairly average test to get 33.5 which i was pleased about, seeing as he was feeling the ground a bit.
Show jumping he flew round and was far more relaxed than usual, mainly cos i remembered to breathe as i went round!!
Onto the best bit, the cross country. He went round like a train, took everything in his stride and finished 6 seconds within the time.
We ended up 5th which was a great end to the day. The person on 4th was on the same score but closer to the optimum time. Hey ho, i try to go faster and then find i should have been a few seconds slower!

well done

Many congratulations.
Brilliant result.

Frustrating isnt it, was caught a few times for having a too faster time and losing out on a higher placing due to the others being closer to the time.

Hey ho, not to be sniffed at!

Well done.

Never mind, its only my first proper season, having done two on day tickets last year. I am beginning to get the feel of how fast to go to get the time. It seems to vary at different events though
