I have a 16.2 showjumper who i have had since febuary. A few weeks ago my vet scanned my horses leg because he had a swelling and she wanted to check his tendons ect he had a bit of a bowed appearence the scans came back fine and my vet was not concerned. If he has had an old injury would that have showed up? When my horse is in his stable it swells when exercised it goes down and also stays down when he is turned out. He is not lame on it atall and is totally sound on it. Do you think i should get a second opinion my vet has always been very good or what could it possibly be? Unless his leg just fillls while in the stable. Does anyone have any suggestions on what i should do ?

i'm 99% sure an old tendon injury would show up as scarring on the tendon, as darker areas. Did you see the scans?
Is it just the one leg that swells?
If it goes down immediately on walking out or exercise of any kind, and he's totally sound and the vet's happy with it, I wouldn't worry about it tbh.

Hi yeah its only on the one leg on his front left. hes totally sound on it and only swells when he is stabled. vet seemed happy with the scans. I just worry abit but hes not in any pain with it bless him i will deffo keep and eye on it
