Bowler Hats in the Show Ring

My husband is now recovering from his operation, so he is now planning his comeback on Shiney.. Showing and BD...

Anyway, he will be showing in the Cob classes and VHS at County. We have been told that Bowlers are standard dress for men in the cob class, but will he be able to wear one in the VHS classes?
 
For the VHS classes i think you can wear any hat im trying to remember back to when i did the a few years ago, i think it might be recommened to wear a safety hat but not complusary but to check they will proberly have it on the website in the rule book.

Good luck with the come back if you go to the VHS national show and win the cob ridden class its the cup i gave in the name of my old veteran

The rules stress mainly if you are under 16 you have to wear a secure hat - but its not really clear regarding adults..

Between the horse and rider their age next year will add up to 85 years, Shiney 23 and John will be 62, so I think they should have a trophy just for that.. bless..

How lovely of you to donate a trophy, if we ever get to that stage I will look out for it
