For me!!
After suffering stomach pains last Wednesday the on call doc said i had a virus and to rest got to Thursday and i was no better so mum booked me a doctors appointment was there 2 mins and told to go straight to hospital got to hospital lots of tests and then told i needed to have my appendix out as i was suffering appendicitis :(
Doctors told us no lifting or riding for 4 weeks...FOUR WEEKS!! mum is taking it seriously unlike me who was thinking 2 weeks haha but im now so bored already.
thankfully horses are being looked after :)

Anyone got any ideas to keep a 21 year old on box rest occupied?

Lots of bad Xmas movies, too many boxes of chocolates and grovel for mum to bring you the tack back from the yard so that you feel like you're doing something productive.

Hope the time passes quickly for you!

Thank you haha yeah might have a mass tack cleaning spree worst thing is iv asked for a go pro cam for xmas will be taking lots of vids of me hobbling round the house if i get one haha

Sorry to hear you're not well :( I'm 21 and was also on box rest in the summer for an ongoing tiredness/fatigue/fainting issue apparently called stress... never understood it myself....

Anyway I kept busy by tack cleaning, entering shows to give myself something to look forward to, and buying matchy matchy sets! Hope this helps :)

Get well soon!

Haha at least you'll have the camera figured by the time you get to use it on the horse

... And you'll be perfectly positioned on the sofa to snap up all of the New Years online sales bargains - there's always room for another rug in the wardrobe, if you play the pity card well maybe somebody can be persuaded to buy it for you to 'cheer you up';)

well i have just donated about 10rugs to save space but .... now the tackroom looks empty so maby i should buy some more haha
yes loving all the ideas :D
the pity card will be used frequently haha
thanks guys :D :D

well from boxing day you have all the online sales to browse through! so you can stock up on things you 'need' when 4 weeks is up.hope you are feeling much better, the time will be worth it so you recover properly. but i go mad after 2 days box rest from a stomach bug, actually i didn't manage and went to the yard while unable to keep feed down and nearly fainted... not a good plan.

i went the stables yesterday and tried to help with feeds ect before my dad caught me im not very good at just doing nothing but currently drawing up a list of shows for next year :D
