Evening all. Horse is on box rest after stomach issues but isn't eating as much forage as I'd like. I'm thinking of fencing a small area off in the field as think she'll be happier outside with company (she was put 24/7 before). Theres no grass so would be offering adlib hay same as in her stable. Does this sound ok or can anyone think of a reason this wouldn't be ok?

As long as she respects fencing and companions can’t wander too far away leaving her alone?
I’ve done it several times and think my horses have been happier and less stressed for it.

Thank you. Yes she respects fencing and others can't go far. Ill give it a try see if it encourages her to eat a bit more
