I don't think he'd have held on even if he'd jumped the last. Must have been some feel for the rest of the race with that jumping
I had an each way on him.Yes hoped he’d hold on but well done Bainbridge. Good run from L’Homme Presse.
He is a stunning and impressive horse.I don't think he'd have held on even if he'd jumped the last. Must have been some feel for the rest of the race with that jumping
Apart from being obviously a great flat jockey he was also on the Ireland eventing team at the pony europeans! He's definitely a muti-discipline horseman.Joseph looks so like his dad!
Brilliant trainer in his own right wonder if anyone has been this successful multi discipline?
He'll be a bit chattier now than he will have been an hour or so ago! He’ll be glad he got on the plane!

Did anyone see the last at Kempton? I know both Nico and HC were disadvantaged but to pull up and not take part? I’m surprised they didn’t get a slapped wrist at least. Allowing that I’m not a steward!
Yes I read that. But I can’t see why it was deemed a sensible course of action. The punters lost their money either way.Race 6 - 3:40pm
THE LADBROKES GET REWARDED WITH LADBUCKS HANDICAP HURDLE RACE (CLASS 3)
An enquiry was held to consider the circumstances surrounding the start of this race. The Starter, Harry Cobden, the rider of EMAILANDY (IRE), which was pulled up and Nico de Boinville, the rider of DODDIETHEGREAT (IRE), which was pulled up, were interviewed and shown recordings of the start. The starter reported that MAHONS GLORY (IRE), unplaced, was proving difficult at the rear of the field and he was waiting for the gelding to become attached to the other runners, this caused a delay in effecting the start of the race and as a result, when the start was effected, EMAILANDY (IRE) ducked violently left-handed as the tapes were released, causing DODDIETHEGREAT (IRE) to come to a standstill and as a result both runners lost considerable ground at the off. The Stewards were satisfied that EMAILANDY (IRE) and DODDIETHEGREAT (IRE) were facing forwards as the start was effected and therefore deemed both to be runners.
Fair point. You couldn’t tell from the head on.I guess it depends on your defintion of how much ground was lost
There is an offer on currently, you can get RTV half price for a year, which covers all of the Irish racing, but not if you are on Virgin unfortunatelyAnnoying. We’ve got Sedgefield too on Sky. Wish Leopardstown was on it or ITV
