As I won't be on tomorrow (no access at work, it is strangely refreshing!

Bodo will be parted from his manly bits on Thursday and vet will do a bit of exploring to see if we can get to the bottom of the recurring infection in his nether regions.
Please send him your best wishes and also to me, I am freaking out a bit now because we lost our old girl last March after surgery...also not looking forward to managing him with a head-bucket!

So lots of 'he will be fine' vibes and hopes that whatever is going on in there is not too serious.

Thanks in advance, expect pictures of a very woozy, annoyed young chap sporting ridiculous headgear and missing a couple of items.....

Oooch nice soft cushion for boydog to sit on!

He will be absolutely fine, he is a big strong dog and vets whip nadgers off all the time without incident.

Get those piccies up

That elizabethan collar or hood as I like to say, will not resemble the shape it once was when he is finished bull dozing into everything, inc your legs

You're not the only one not being able to repress what has happened at earlier veterinary "visits", so lots of sympathy for that. After all, all those "happy" visits only ending with a vaccination or something are not those that you really remember, it's the other times.

{{{Vibes}}} to Bodo and fingers crossed they find some solvable reason to his nether regions-problems.

I will be thinking of you and your boy tomorrow as my little boy is having his done tomorrow as well ! Im sure we can share headgear stories !!!

Sending loads of vibes and hugs for Bodo and you. I remember how I felt when Buffy went into be spayed , common sense tells us they will be fine but we can't help worrying.. And have the arnica ready for all the bruises you will have on your legs when he has battered you with his elizabethan collar

Hi guys - he's home, pissed off, and I will have to wave goodbye to my life for ten days as he is going to try whatever it takes to get his headgear off and he is still woozy!!!
Now calmed down a bit and is watching an animal programme on Channel 5.

Re the other stuff - he has a larger prostate than one would expect for a dog of his age and a mass in his bladder which has been biopsied, but vet thinks it isn't a tumour as its makeup is very similar to the bits and bobs he has been passing in his wee, and may be related to his puppy surgery.
Fingers crossed, no results for another week or so, no point in me wigging out yet.

Don't even LOOK at me

. He seems to be taking to life in the house HH, can see him and his sister moving in if you are not careful.

Will keep fingers crossed that biopsy comes back clear .
