After my post yesterday 'Anyone want to lend me a horse' and the lovely response I received, I would like to offer any of you lovely peeps my boyfriend........Any takers?!
I think you'd get more response if you worded your ad differently...
"Boyfriend available for loan. Tall, dark, and handsome, with loads of money, lots of acreage, and a huge lorry!!!! Bit of a s*x mechanic, but nothing you gals couldn't cope with!!!"
That should do it, watch the replies fly in now!!!!!
Actually..... How would you advertise your boyfriend???
Mine would be something like this:
Tall, Fair MW, Eventer type BoyFriend, very athletic, excels when in full work. Very loyal, and loves affection and gives plenty back! Easy to look after, VERY good doer, never sick or sorry, very willing to learn. Taught me everything I know..... cheeky!!
OK I'll have ago at describing my OH for an ad....
OH for sale or loan. Happy hack due to age. Tall. Hard working, and tries (sometimes very trying). Has on the odd occasion napped so needs a confident person, but is not particularly spooky!!
Can accept tack, but for shows would need assistance. Good to shoe, load and box (loves his stable!) and a very good doer. Can live in or out!!(preferably in a shed!)
Plenty of vices, but you really wouldn't want me to describe them in this ad!!!
100% bombproof in traffic, and hacks alone and in company.
Schoolmaster looking for a good home. Has been well schooled and has been there and done it - is a real confidence giver. Is a good doer with no special needs (hmm that is debatable..
) and although has plenty of vices none are dangerous - more like bad habits.....Loves his stable and his feed - will eat just about anything. Would prefer a nice quiet home in the countryside in his more mature years!!
Will go anywhere and do anything either alone or in company - and loves a party!! Comes with all his own tack and wardrobe......
mine is free to a good home 6"0 soon to be gelding (), cannot live out due to moth phobia and is anti social, not novice ride should not be let of the lead rein as can be exciteable, gains weight easily so muzzle adviseable, travels well and would do well with right rider although does not have an impressive extension
Chestnut stallion, in his prime, easy to do, but not novice ride due to slight nappiness. No vices but needs a good groom and tidy up. Kicks the door at feed times.
M/W proven Stallion approaching prime, 17 hh, excellent offspring. Unusual colouring, fleabitten mix. Is very responsive and willing to try new things. Outstanding paces and excellent stamina. Needs a bit more work to bring to peak condition. Always willing to please. Turns his hoof to all things. Manners to burn. Needs a firm female to keep in check but will prove to be loyal and trustworthy. Will consider loan only. No PX's or sale due to being one in a million xx
Mine is being advertised on the "Project Boyfriends" Website.
Free to good home. 18'2hh palomino of stocky build. Works well once motivated, but needs competent person to get him started. Cannot be left unsupervised as will not work at all. Needs a strong owner who will be his sole provider, who can be relied upon to support him financially and who is prepared to hold down a full time job and 2 part time jobs in order to do this, and then still be expected to do all of the housework as well.
Needs fittening up as currently runs out of steam extremely quickly. Good doer, eats anything and is capable of feeding himself and others. Unfortunately he is a hypochondria sufferer, but this is extremely easy to deal with (by ignoring it) and therefore does not affect his value. Is also a big softie and gets on well with other horses and animals. Although scruffy on a day to day basis, will brush up really well for important events.
Competition record:
He has reached super-ultra-advanced level of competence with the TV remote, and very good at multitasking (i.e. watching 5 different TV channels at once).
He is on project boyfriends as he is currently very expensive to keep and also suffers from an ongoing back issue (currently undergoing physio).
Viewings in the afternoons only, as it is almost impossible to get him out of the stable before then.
