No, it doesn't hurt. It pulls a bit - but doesn't hurt. Take an apple with you - a nice green, crunchy one, which has been in the fridge, you never experience anything quite so satisfying again!

Although, I've experienced it twice
after having braces, having them removed, then having them again, and having them removed, I had orthodontic treatment for about 5 years, and have had my braces off a year now.
I must say, it was worth it
Doesnt hurt so dont worry, deffinately have an apple after, and a toffee Yum.... Will feel very strange though i felt as though my mouth was really empty and all my teeth had shrunk or something lol. Good luck hopw the result is worth it. Definately was for me
It doesn't hurt at all, getting them tightened is alot more painful (and scary for me, but I'm a wimp)
Its great getting them off though, you can enjoy apples and chewing gum again
Oh and btw i presume you'll have to wear a retainer or something after? If you do make sure you wear it because i didnt wear mine enough and my teeth have moved a bit
