Please can anyone recommend a good brain game or two for a terrier pup?
Some great ideas! Thank you!!Mine used to love various versions of kibble sprinkled in a towel then rolled and/or tied up and treats under tennis balls in a muffin tin. I also used to save cardboard and paper then make a snuffle box to sprinkle kibble in.
Will do, thank you!!Look into passive scent work, it's great for slowing the brain, creating thinking, building a bind, trust, teaching patience and tiring them out.
2 dogs, one being a lab gundog. She will probably just lay on the sofa after a busy shooting season whilst pup searches!!Sniffing is fantastic for tiring out those busy brains! Some great ideas in here so far!
If you've just the one dog, you can always feed their kibble by hiding it all around the room, garden etc. Under pillows, behind the sofa, next to plant pots, in empty bottles etc etc.
I only say if you've got one just to be safe and avoid any scuffles at the time, or if one finds a missed kibble and it causes a fight, but then we've got one who is a massive butthole about food (and it's not mine!).
