Following a visit to the vet tonight to get my dog's anal glands emptied. The vet has suggested adding bran to his food, firstly to assist with weightloss and also to help with the anal gland problem. So my question is what bran do other dog owners use. Is the bran we give the horse okay. To be honest, this evening we gave him some plain AllBran, he loved it, but is it a suitable but slightly expensive option.
