A while ago someone (forgotten who!) recommended a brand of hoof rasp that was much better than standard rasps and had a replaceable blade. It apparently made rasping much easier.
I didn’t bother at the time due to the price and as I was going to buy nippers (which I haven’t done either!). Please can someone remind me of the brand. My 2 have feet like iron and are hard work to rasp!
Thanks

Brilliant, thanks everyone ?

I recognise it now from the link.

Yes I think I’ll get the aggressive one at least to start off with.

(I didn’t bother with nippers as my fingers are creaky)

I love mine! But would definitely find aggressive a massive overkill, but I rasp every few days for the problem child and use nippers on the others

Rasp has arrived - pleased - the aggressive blade is much easier to remove larger bits of hoof (that you would normally use nippers for). I can use my old rasps for smoothing the edges off.

The only thing that is slightly strange is the handle is at the opposite end to my normal rasps so I have to hold at the other end (but I swap ends anyway so doesn’t make much difference). When trimming the toe I normally push the rasp away fro me - this means the handle tends to catch the ground as I don’t hold the hoof up high off the ground.
Not a big deal anyway and the rasp will definitely make hoof trimming easier work. Might also get a medium one for wetter weather / or when my old rasps wear out.
