Hi Guys,
Would really appreciate your opinions I just bought a pelham on ebay that was listed as brass, I thought it would look really nice on the new bridle I have just ordered with brass buckles, I had looked for a brass or gold coloured one before and never found one the ebay one arrived today and was really tarnished so I cleaned it up with ketchup (googled it!) and it is now lovely and clean but has gone much lighter in colour... I am wondering if it is actually nickle? Are nickle bits really bad? Should I contact the seller and try and send it back?
What do you think? I think I heard that some horses can be allergic to nickel and I don't want to risk it if that is true but how can I tell if it is nickle?
