Ha ha ha ha.............they have got that "lost" look of like........."oookkkkk whos the boss........."
We weaned our black colt this week. Put him in a stall next to his mum. He was very well behaved but is slowly taking milky withdrawl symptoms........LOL
mine is slowly being weaned and are seperated fora few hours a day - they arnt to bothered and dont really call but when i bring baby back to mum she tells her off as if to say im starving where have you been !!
Well...they are purebred Arabs, dont ask me about their breeding as they have unpronounceable let alone spellable names! From left to right we have: Shamara, Kizmet, Polly and Venus. Three fillies and Kizmet is a little colt. We have one more colt, but didnt manage to get any photos of him!
They look so lovely, but confused about this big grown-up life that they are facing!
We are weaning our chap this weekend, and I'm dreading it, he's such a lovely chap, and as he's our first especially precious. He's going up the road with a pony who has been introduced into the field with him and his mum over the past 3 weeks, but its going to be a real wrench, and I so hate to think that he'll be upset and confused about where his mum is.... its all very traumatic, this weaning business!
Our lad has been apart from mum at night now for just over a week, & it is hoped this weekend they will be apart fully for a few wks. It all got bought forward due to Mo loosing weight, though she has put it on her ribs still look sprung. No other way to describe it, as she is carrying weight, (quiet round), but her ribs can be seen.
