:p Does anybody else have a pony as brave as mine , today for the
first time in the five years i have had him he let me give him a bath
without thinking that the water was going to kill him :D

i even managed to do his face and ears - first time ever :D (the
colour of the water coming off was disgusting :/ )

is anybody else a proud mummy today? :D

No....the new boy dumped me coming across the field.
To be fair he did stop dead and did not attempt to bugger off across the field even though it was pi**ing down and his warm stable was at the other end, but I would far more have appreciated him not bucking me off in the first place!

sorry, had to laugh at this

I'm a proud mummy too - psycho fat boy has had 10 days off, 1st day of work today - Instead of being a complete tit like he usually is, he decided to be a well behaved little man & not bomb round the field like his bum was on fire!!! Might be a different story tomorrow!!!

A very proud mummy, our 17hh TB hasn't been ridden for at least a month, which normally means he spooks at his own shadow, someone came to try him
today and his behaviour was impeccable, despite us warning them he was likely to spook, double carrots and rosehips for my gentle Tom tonight

I got a horse today :D was expecting dancing/squealing/fight with the horse in neiboring field but grass is much more interesting to her, which makes me a happy new mum :)

We also had a bath today, and a major tidy up. We also got ears and face washed, with minimal fuss. Only thing we didn't do was trim ear hair, as the poor chap had been tortured enough already!! :o
I was very proud until he did a runner when we were drying off , and had a quick roll...thankfully he was almost dry, still wearing his cooler, and the ground was dry, otherwise I'd have been a very angry mammy. (not really, he's quite the character, and looked so proud of himself afterwards, he made me laugh)

Yes- I had my second lesson on Finn today and he's really starting to go wonderfully. He rushes and leans constantly but today he started to really come down long and low in trot for the first time. I nearly cried! .... Then I stopped for a drink of water, he spooked at the bottle in my hand and dumped me in the school :)... You can't have it all I guess!

I'm a proud mummy too ! :D
My 2yo New Forest filly has her first show on Sunday. I brought her in (Saturday) for a tidy up and she stood like an angel. I also washed her mane & tail for the first time ever, and she had a fleece on for the first time followed by a lightweight turnout rug. Born and lived wild on the New Forest until 3 weeks before I bought her mid May :D
She didn't flinch at all with the rugs, and is wearing the t/o in the field now. She ADORED having her mane and tail washed :D, I'll try a full bath midweek, now I know she's happy to be washed and to wear rugs
