17.2hh 14yo TB. Normally poor doer, but done considerably well this winter, considering he went into winter skinnier than what he came out and he has been off work for 7 months. Do you think he looks alright? Can post a before picture if anyone wants to see it.

I've just got a new saddle, so going to slowly starting bringing him back into the swing of things again and hopefully get him nice and muscley. :D

Oh and he does actually have a huge field of grass. This is the patch in front of their shelter that they've trampled lol!

He looks a lot better than mine who came back from 4 months out on loan at the weekend. Allegedly been worked 4 times a week and has no topline, ribs slicking out and generally pretty miserable!

I would say he looks ok for a poor doer TB coming out of winter. But it would worry me slightly that you say he went INTO winter skinny?!! How come? I would be looking into that if I were you.

He's got no head
:D Yes, he looks ok, lacking muscle and topline but you know that!

I know, I chopped it off :D haha, he had his ears back at the other horse so I thought headless would be better than grumpy! :o

 oh no! That's horrible, your poor horse! :(

It was no problems with him.. We had just moved from a bad livery yard and he was a terrible state there, so when we moved he went straight onto a rested field with fab grass which he got a good chunk of before it died off. He's all healthy so nothing to worry about there. :)

rhino beat me to it :D

I was going to comment on facebook earlier how well he looks but since you've posted on here, I'll say it here instead :D

Good to see proof he still has that handsome head of his :p :D

He looks good to me! Mine all look horrific - mixture of mud and loose hair! He looks very unhairy and clean. Jealous

So, an update..

He's gone the other way and starting to look quite chubby now he's been let into the longer grass :o

Cut down his feed a wee bit and upping his work, doing plenty of hilly hacking to get that muscle built up so looking forward to see if there's a noticeable difference in a few months! :)
