We've got a sexy lurcher x staffy type, she's got the best temp ever - really clever and sweet and can do lots of stuff, she would have fab babies but we wouldn't want them to go to bad homes (or no homes). What would you do?? She is a babe and really lovly!!

yes it is me
shes a lovely dog. It would be good if youd have buyers ready and waiting for them to make sure your not left with a full litter. What are you thinking of putting her too?

thanx babe, i love her too!! well done yesterday!! mum got fifth, she was well chuffed that she got a rossette and caf seems better, big wieight of our minds!! Have you heard any news on that lady from sat??

Thanks, couldnt quite catch Caff, its just not the same without coloured lad, if I had him up he would have gone around with Caf! Yes, she wasnt in a good way, Liz ummed and arred the other day about her, didnt say too much, but Tracey D insisted that her neck was broken from the angle it was at...alex said there hasnt been too much change.

I want to be simpahtetic but it was too easy - and her horse didn't do anything wrong!! people should learn to sit to a tiny fence before they go hunting IMO. I may be a bitch but its true!!

Ah well this was yesturday, and my source was Mr Tue.
Well she was on a young horse wasnt she, I got told she brought the 4yo out. Now I think that was the wrong meet to take it on 1st time out, and to take it up steps? Young horses misjudge those fences because the groundline isnt what they are used to...

well i said something along the same lines - was talking to Christine (rockwood Master - horse Fred) (cant remember surname at mo???) at carboot and she said she was a newcomer - ive never seen her hunting but supposedly she went out a lot last year. Youve got to have control and understand what goes off around you let alone being able to cope with the horse that youre riding.
Feel sorry for her - mustve bloody hurt!!

Havent got a clue about horse but would say that i trust the source ive got info from - i think Mr T likes to exaggerate sometimes just for the fun of it (and to make it sound better!)

Please think again about breeding from your cross bred bitch - SHE may have the best temperament etc but you will have absoloutely no way of knowing how her pups will turn out - both temperamentally and health wise.

There are already thousands of poorly bred dogs produced - rescue shelters are FULL of them -especially Staffy cross types - it is a huge problem - please be responsible and do not add to the numbers.

Can't help but agree. You only have to go to any rescue shelter for proof. Maybe it's up to us true dog lovers to do the sensible thing and not add to the mongrel population, however tempting it is to let our well looked after dogs have a litter.

Agree with the other posters.

I have a gorgeous doggie, too. Perfect temperament, champion bloodlines, sweet, playful, healthy, but I don't want to contribute to the shelter problem any further.

Breeding, in my opinion, should be left to a select group of pros -- people who, for instance, have their dogs' hips, eyes etc. tested before breeding, and who go to enormous lengths to find the perfect stud dog.

I have met my dog's full-sister, from the first mating of the bitch and sire, and she is a hyper loon -- not at all like my girl -- so you wouldn't necessarily have the good fortune of replicating your dog's lovely credentials.

Umm, i guess your right. it seems such a shame though as its pedigree's that tend to have more health and behaviour problems. doesn't really make sense but i suppose we'll have to live with it. it's a shame humans don't have such responsible attitudes with there own reproduction!!

How true......... I think it's the same group of irresponsible people popping out children AND filling the rescue homes with litters of unwanted pups. Perhaps someone should sit them down and explain reproduction and the easy ways of stopping it!

I understand where both of you are coming from, generally people dont want dogs if they arnt pedigree, but then I have a lad that is absolutely bouncing off of the wall most of the time
