3rd body just been found at the house in Shropshire.
News just said that 3 horses & 3 dogs (1 next to the 2 bodies) were shot 1st. 3rd body found will take a while to remove from the house as house very unsafe. Thoughts go out to the family.

just seen this. its been said on another thread that in some ways it will be better for the family if the 3 of them are dead, however saddening it must be.
i just hope that this investigation is swift.

The body of a male person and the third body not formally identifed yet
A gun found near to the two first found was one registered to the missing man.

It doesn't make any sense to me if he did it himself, why would he kill the horses? poor things

in the mental stae he was in, i supoose he thought it best as at least he would then be in control of what their future was....maybe..

The horses would be assets too........and if it was him, he possibly didn't want them to burn to death, shooting is kinder..

Or of course, if he totally lost it, if he couldn't have them, nobody could...........

It is a systematic destruction of his whole existence.........

Horribly sad.........

Yep I agree JM07.

Still beggers believe though.

Poor, poor people.

The whole reason he destroyed and killed everything is that he didn't want anyone else to have them - plain and simple.

Do you know what I find REALLY sad?
Had the liquidators sold off all his assets (house, luxury cars, horses, antiques etc etc), and settled his debts and tax bill, he would have probably been able to make a fresh, debt free, start.

I doubt it Dubbs. He owed (apparently) £800k to the tax man and over £1m in business debts. The house was valued at £1.2m. They woul dhave to be exceptional cars and horses to cover the remaining £600k

Lots of other explanations.
Bragging-hearasay as far as I can tell, yes reported in the daily mail or some such thing, not by a proper newspaper AFAIK.
Could be mafia, could be revenge, could be being made to look like suicide hence torching to remove evidence.
Could be the wife and husband, could have been just the wife. Yes, could have been the husband
Until we know the full facts, I think there shouldn't be jumping to conclusions and dismissing the man, after the full facts are released, there will be plenty of time to condemn him then.

I really do not understand this whole tragic story

He would have had 600k left to pay off if he had sold his house, the cars and horses would have helped a little bit but I read he was planning to build another lake in the houses grounds so surley he still had money left in the bank?
I really do think it was him but I cannot understand why as it seems apparent that he hasn't tried to sort the financial troubles out before, sorry I don't get how someone can have such big money troubles yet is still prepared to live in their massive house and keep their lifestyle.
It is such a sad story I just hope that his wife and daughter did not suffer. RIP

It's called being an ostrich Jesterfaerie - sticking ones head in the sand and hoping it all goes away. I think we are all guilty of tht at some point, to some degree but men seem to excel at it.

Surely though it depends on how the business was structured. It's not necessarily doom and gloom if the business goods t*ts up. And he quite possibly would have walked away with plenty of cash to start a new life.

Either way - tragic to snuff the life out of your loved ones because you feel that there is no other option. I really can't get my head around that.

My friend and I were saying a woman would never have that level of 'win at any cost' mindset which would lead them to destroy everything they owned lest others should take it from them. A woman would compromise and negociate. With men it seems to be all or nothing. If I can't have it, then nobody can - even if it means murdering your loved ones. An unspeakably arrogant and selfish attitude - one which manifests itself in much milder forms in most men, given the circumstances.

With what is known and accepted about the male psyche, there should be absolutely no men in power anywhere in the world. Laughable they took so long to allow women the vote as we have a far better track record in the murdering-insanity stakes than they ever have!

Hang on - we don't even know that he did it yet do we!

I think the country will be very suprised to learn he didn't.......

The saddest thing about this is they could have taken everything from him even the shirt of his back if they liked but he would still would have had his family which to me means more than anything in the world!! So it just doesnt add up to why he would do this if it was just about losing his house and money!! There is alot more we dont know

I find it very hard to belive that one man alone could have had enough petrol and enough time to have gone around the yard and torched every car, then onto the yard and shot the horse, then torched the stable block, then shot the rest of the family pets, his wife and child then managed to burn down a whole mansion before anyone raised the alarm or saw the blaze.

I dunno, feels like a set up to me.

If it was a hit, then the father would have been murdered - hitmen rarely kill the whole family on a whim

and sure, possibly the house razed to the ground to destroy evidence...but to take the time to start many fires, risky, hitmen are usually in and out jobs. To move vehicles to barricade the drive and then barricade the house from the inside - again, not the marks of a hit.

To kill livestock, not just those in one place but in various places - nope, sorry, not a hitman at work.

The more time a murderer spends at a site the more clues he leaves behind, even if he goes to pains to clear his tracks.

And FWIW TripleSH, I despise The Mail and similar
