I'm off to look at a 3 yr old this weekend, if things go ok etc.. I would ideally like to send the horse of for breaking/ schooling due to my lack of decent schooling area, thought it would be safer.
It's been years since sent anything away what is the rough weekly price these days I'm guessing 150? Per week, but could be way off.
( I'm in Somerset area).

After researching this £150 does seem average

Without meaning to hijack the thread but its kind of relevant - for those of you who have sent your horses away to be broken/schooled how long were they away for and what did they do in that time?

£150 would be about right. How long they would need to be there, and what they would do would dependupon how much the youngster had been handled and done, plus the temperament. I have had a horse that was seriously easy, have been well handled, and worn rugs, had rollers and tack on, and lunged. He was sat on within days, and hacking out within a week. Walk, trot, canter, and poles were introduced within a month, but he had literally done everything bar being sat on.
