Better to let it heal though, I went out hunting too soon after I broke my collar bone and by all stretches of the imagination I made it alot worse!!

Erm -
Fractured ankle fell off at sitting trot
Left thumb at base (Collis fracture?)
Second finger right hand
Collar bone horse bolted when lunging because I could not ride with my finger in a splint (now have somewhere to hang my hat as it healed well crooked)

Apart from that just a bit of concussion split finger where stood on and a massive haematoma on knee where stood on.

Oops!!

Yep. Same as you - tibia and fibula (got the tib plated) and my femur (big ouch) which wasn't plated but I was hospitalised for 15 weeks

I wasn't out of the saddle for as long as the doctors advised and I got away with it

Yep, did the same as you but further up, on my shin. it's horrid at the time and you feel down because of all the riding you are missing but it goes quite quickly, everything heals with time, mine was about 3 months but I have never had a problem with it afterwards. I did jump on a friends horse with a half cast still on my leg, I couldnt wait any longer but I wouldnt recommend it and my mother would have tried to brake my neck if she ever found out.On the positive side my arms were the most toned I have ever had them.

Thanks guys, i was in an indoor area, warming my horse up for a jump lesson, and everyone has there own ways of warming up, i have done all the strecthing etc and was asked for a collected/bouncy canter in the corner then extend down the long side and when i asked for the collection back he bronked ( i stayed on to that bit) then stopped and spun on his hind quarters, i came off his left shoulder and landed on me feet! well one foot and smashed the other of the floor! hopefully i wont have to be out of the saddle too long...we have a 'Trigger' (mechnical horse) so i can get to grips with that for a while! thanks again x
