If you sent your horse for breaking, what would you expect it to be able to do...
lunging, long reining, walk, trot, canter, hack, jump etc and how well.

Thanks :)

Standard breaking, say 4-6 weeks, we have them walk/trot/canter both reins in school, basic school movements, hacking alone and in company, plus a bit of polework done. :)

Not schooling at top standard or working on outlines etc, just getting them nice and forwards and easily doing it. If they then want horse schooled on properly, then that will follow extra.

Depends what you're paying for and have asked for though!

It should within about 6 weeks be hacking out and doing basic ridden work in all 3 paces, some are easier than others and take less time than others to get to this stage. How well it goes will depend on many things not least its age and natural ability, they all progress at a very different rate.

I would not usually be jumping a just backed youngster but may do a little pole work or some loose jumping for variety.
