This is a dumb question but thought i'd ask! Will i get funny looks off the critical groom if I school and hack my horse is an elasticated breastplate? She comments on everything i do or use just wanted to ask here to save my embarrassment if she said I shouldn't be using one!
I know they're usually used for hunting and eventing, and everyone at my yard just uses standard ones for everyday riding.
Just wondering if there's a specific purpose to elasticated breastplates that makes them majorly different to standard ones or if it's perfectly ok for me to hack etc in them?
Sorry - I must sound really silly :p

We've got a mare who's ridden all the time in an elasticated breastplate. Think the elastic ones are designed for racing, but it doesn't really matter! She hacks/schools/jumps/hunts in hers.

Ok thanks :) I didn't think they're much different just thought I'd save myself looking stupid if I was going for a slow hack in eventing tack!

Stop worrying about what others think. Your horse, your money buying the tack. Just enjoy yourself.:)

Exactly but can't help it! Constantly getting criticised because he's my first horse and I'm not as experienced, but nevermind, I'll be out of there soon! :D
