Hi for the last 3 years my horse Smartie s suffered terrible with her breathing after spending 100 of pounds on vet bills later i stumbled across the equine science web site....... omg i cannot believe the out come i phoned them and spoke to lovely lady called Debbie told her the problem and in the post the next day came my herbal mix within a week her breathing was back to normal cannot thank the3m enough

I'll let you know - mine arrived today (bought yesterday on recommendation of OP!) and my elderly (25) Arab has just had his first dose 3/4 of an hour ago. He came in wheezing really badly this morning and had his Ventipulmin, but was rather quiet (he's normally really cheeky) and still wheezing after an hour, and was still wheezing when I gave him his first dose of PulmonEZ. It was recommended that I mixed it to a paste and syringed it in, but I know that he trusts me and isn't suspicious of new additions to his feed, so I mixed it in with a handful of Happy Hoof and a drop of water - he gave it a sniff, then wolfed it down and licked out the bucket. Then he coughed a couple of times, a productive cough, which was music to my ears. Just been up to check on him - he is of course still wheezing, but I was amazed that it was not quite so noisily - he's exhaling slightly more easily and with less of an effort. I would normally nebulise him with sodium chromoglicate at lunchtime, but his breathing seems good enough for me to just go with the PulmonEZ for the moment, so I'm not going to give him any more Ventipulmin, or nebulise him unless he is struggling and really needs it. I'll give him his second dose before I turn him out today. He has to have 2 doses a day until I see an effect, then it reduces to 1 a day. I'll post again tomorrow with progress!

Hi that is great to hear, i just gave it to smartie in her feed like you happy hoof and some water i stopped her Ventipulmin just to see if PulmonEZ did the trick on its own and it worked smartie hasnt had Ventipulmin for 10 days now.

Hi it was a web site called Equine Science if you phone 07860158052 thats the number you need for the mixes the ladys name is Debbie she is lovely and really helpful

Can't believe this. I was going to turn out at 5, so gave Tris his second dose of PulmonEZ, again in a handful of Happy Hoof with a drop of water. Then OH rang to say don't turn out, he wants to tidy one of the horses feet when he gets home. So an hour later, Tris isn't wheezing AT ALL, his exhalation is still a little laboured when he moves, but when he was stood resting, his sides looked normal. He hasn't been nebulised today, and I didn't give him any Ventipulmin this evening. I know there was a little bit of breeze this afternoon, but it's still been hot. I had tears in my eyes watching him. Will post again tomorrow evening.

Hi thats great to hear it is lovely to see them breathing with ease and not struggling i used to see smarties heave line at times it was awful

Hi yes give it a go i couldnt believe it worked and quite quickly as well, its lovely just to see smartie not struggle for breath and not see her heave line all the time

Wheezing a bit less this morning, although this could be because it rained overnight and it wasn't as hot as it has been. Same this evening, although I think he's feeling a bit better - nearly broke into a trot when I turned him out. Considering he hasn't had any Ventipulmin since yesterday morning, quite happy with progress so far. Will post again tomorrow night.

Still wheezing this morning, and was still wheezing an hour after feeding the PulmonEZ. This evening was NOT wheezing, and exhalation much less forced. He was also cheeky to the point of naughtiness; he'd pooed in his respiratory Horslyx - I don't know why he thinks that it's funny or clever to do that, but it's better than when he poos in his waterer; he threatened to chase my poor elderly Labrador; he kept pushing the door open as I tried to shut it; and he bit my young Arab on the way out to the field. So I think it's safe to conclude that he's feeling well! Will post again tomorrow.

Hmmmm - excuse me for being a little sceptical, but I always find product 'recomendations' from new members a little suspicious (ie veiled advertising?).

Hope the post is genuine and the product works for you x

Seems to be having an effect so far. When I spoke to the company, they said that if it didn't work, to get a blood sample taken to send to them and they would formulate something specifically for him. But it's worth a punt, anyway, and atm I'm saving the cost of the ventilation, which I know only masks the problem....

Hi i can assure the post is genuine and NOT as you put it veiled advertising was so impressed with this product thought i would share it with people that were perhaps in the same situation as me with the breathing of their horses.......think twice next time and perhaps not bother sharing it with others.

I'm glad you did post OP - Triskar was ridden today! Admittedly by a child whose weight hardly registers, and yes, he did cough and puff going uphill (we live on the side of an iron age hillfort, so our hills are many and steep....), but that may have as much to do with the fact that since he's been off, he's expanded to fill another 2 holes in his girth. On the way back (downhill), no puffing or wheezing at all, and hasn't made any noise breathing since today. Will post again tomorrow....

Still making more of an effort on the outbreath than I would like, and wasn't ridden today (child had a lesson on another horse, since didn't consider Tris up to a dressage lesson), but I think that he is continuing to improve. Could hear the exhalation on the way in (uphill) this morning, but he's not making a noise since after his breakfast with the gubbins in. Will post again tomorrow evening.

Hi thats good to hear that you still think he is improving on the mix it took Smartie a week for me to see a difference in her breathing that was 1 scoop in morning feed and then again in eve now she is on half a scoop once a day, rode her the other eve and she feels different now to ride as well, and alot happier in her self.

Ridden out for short hack by child this morning - was a mistake, he was struggling going uphill. Was ok downhill - even attempted to bite poor old Labrador's tail. Came back and had his breakfast with PulmonEZ, and breathing ok at rest. This evening had PulmonEZ and turned out. He bit baby Arab on the way out, so then had to scuttle off before Bertie took his revenge. Watched him canter along track and up into field - he didn't seem distressed at all. I think that he's making progress, but I'd be a lot happier if he coped with uphill better. Thanks OP for your post - think I'm looking for too much too soon, got a bit carried away with the instant improvement! Child going to ride him for 20 mins in school tomorrow - at a walk, but it's flat so I'll see how he goes. Will post again tomorrow evening.

Forgot to post last evening! He's really struggling first thing when he comes in- the allergen that is aggravating his breathing must be present when he's out, because he then improves throughout the day. He was definitely no worse in walk on the flat, so he'll do it again later today - he needs to move - if he gets any fatter he'll burst, but no way could I put a muzzle on him - he'd think he was suffocating. Think I'm going to keep him in tonight - if he'll stand for it, but then I'll see whether he's not so bad in the morning. And he does have a door cut into the side of his box giving hi access to his "garden" - 13 metres square tiny paddock. Think that he will object to being in on his own, though.

Wouldn't stay in on his own last night and didn't want to insist as the paddy he was having was affecting his breathing. Think he was quite a bit better this morning, but then the night was quite wet which would presumably dampen down the allergen. A bit difficult to tell, really, since he almost galloped the length of the field to come in so he was puffing, but his breathing wasn't quite as noisy, and he settled down to usual level of effort in breathing out out within 90 minutes. Was recommended to use a nose net on him in conversation with equine science last night so have ordered one. Meanwhile will try Nostrilvet before he goes out tonight.
Hopefully this will act as a barrier to the allergen. Equine Science said if I could identify what exactly he's allergic to, they could make up a specific remedy but don't know how I'd do that. Anyone know which grasses or clovers flower in July?

Came in this morning MUCH better! Still a bit of a heave but no noise with his breathing. Mind you, came in at a more sedate speed, more suited to his age and health. Gave him the Nostrilvet this morning and will repeat before he goes out tonight. Hopefully it will give the PulmonEZ a chance to work if its reducing the amount of allergen he's reacting to. Anyway after squirting it up his nose, he just looks thoughtful and Bertie and I make it out to the field unbitten..... so it has to be worth it!

Hi just read your post fingers crossed that you have cracked it now with this combination, sounds like he is feeling better in himself by reading all the antics he has been up to......

Better again today. Still double exhalation, but much less effort. Fly veil with nose net arrived and Daft rather than Darth Vader wearing it. Continuing with just the PulmonEZ and Nostrilvet and will post again tomorrow.

Again continuing to improve, although still a double exhalation. He wasn't impressed with being turned out in the rain tonight, so I'm expecting pathetic coughing in the morning

Rained for the last 24 hours, so not coughing or wheezing - breathing was best it's been so far. Is going to be dry overnight, will see how he is tomorrow.

Just to update you all with regards this product, absolutely fantastic! No more breathing problems within 2-3 days and coughing gone, so thank you for posting about this else I wouldn't of known about it!!

Came in this morning with minimal double exhalation, was given PulmonEZ and had NostrilVet puffed up his nostrils (happily my new NostrilVet has just arrived, think that the stuff I've been using is 2 years old (rained all last summer so didn't need to use it) and I'm not sure how good the puffer is now - may not be making it all the way up his nose, especially wen he's violently objecting and insisting he's 17 hands). Just been up to check him and he could be mistaken for a normal horse! Maybe a bit of a strong outbreath, but not a double exhalation, and no heave line.... Fingers crossed!

Brilliant news i am so glad i shared this breathing problem with people now smartie my horse has gone to pony club camp for the first time in three years

Continuing improvement - we took him out on a hack this afternoon - only in walk - he puffed a bit on the steeper uphill sections, but was not distressed in any way (except when Bertie went in front.... he was put out then....) Bearing in mind that he's not on any Ventipulmin and not being nebulised atm, think the improvement is brilliant. Will continue with scoop of PulmonEZ together with NostrilVet night and morning - he's scheduled for another walk tomorrow.

Made a mistake this morning - took him up a green lane that was very grassy, and it really set his hay fever off. Was ok once he got back on the road, and was fine this evening. Will have to get him a nose net to fit to his bridle as well as using the NostrilVet.
