So who went? How'd you do?

We got a clear round the Novice XC which I was really pleased with as the first half of the course made me pretty nervous! Although we had one very hairy moment at the log with big ditch under it (fence 11 I think?) - the dude on the quad was just pulling away but saw me and stopped just to the side of the fence as I approached, my horse was so busy looking at the bloody quad that he only saw the ditch at the very last moment, ground to a halt and then cat leaped it from a stand still!! He scraped his stifles a bit which I didnt realise at the time. So when I got back I realised they'd been bleeding a bit and were really raw looking. So he got lots of cuddles and will have a couple of days off. Had a few time penalties which irritated me at the time but later found that actually I was about 5th quickest in the class as everybody did. Came 6th

Well done. I haven't been to Brechin in a few years but I really don't like the first half of the course, all those twists and turns.

kirstyfk - Well it was weird coz us lot were going in the opposite direction to the intro / PN. So it wasnt too twisty for us at the beginning but we did have some nasty fences in the first few, like number 3 was a keyhole, 4 was a big corner, 5 was a arrowhead type thing with a big bank the other side and 6 was a very narrow big upturned log. So it was quite harsh early on, the last half was easy! I agree it was certainly twisty but its a lovely picturesque course especially through the nice garden bit at the end. But I agree it was twisty for the others, wouldnt have liked taking my baby round there as his first intro.

Yip, well done! I was looking out for you, but I may have missed you as I left a 4 pm. It was a good day and the weather was great too. Sunny, but not too hot.

I was delighted with my DC and finishing on my dressage score. Just pipped out of a place, but never mind. Must work on the dreaded dressage as it's the thing that lets me down. Had a corker of a xc round. Wee grey horse just flew round, and took all the drops and turns very neatly. It's a fun course to ride!

It was a fun course to ride wasnt it! You left at 4pm? I was only just starting my dressage then

Dont worry, we have to work on our dressage too - so you're definately not the only one. Bloody hate stressage! I was really peed off with my score. My boy was so chilled out yesterday and I thought went really nicely compared to Kirriemuir where he basically wanted to explode the entire time, yet we got a worse score yesterday! WTF?!!

You doing PN at Scone?

Well done

Wouldnt it be nice if the dressage could be judged by some sort of robot that cant be too opinionated and be consistant all the time!! Had the same thing with my dressage test....just seems like pot luck sometimes!!

Oh well done.
At least you didnt fall off and shout at the driver like some famous 3DE rider did at Badders last year

You must be delighted with 6th.
