Breeches for curvy dressage rider ?

Thanks, but im really after traditional breeches for smart use (lessons). Tights aren't flattering on me and I dont feel smart in them - I prefer the more structured look (and feel) of breeches.
I can thoroughly understand and appreciate your sentiment on this :-)) We're all different and what suits one rider will be anaethma to another!

As I said, I loathe with a vengeance practically all the modern designs of equestrian wear. Most are extortionately priced and just look dreadful with tawdry additions like huge brand logos and embellishments.

When I learned to ride in the very traditional BHS system light years ago, anything flashy or garish was considered unprofessional or workmanlike.

All clothing (and tack for that matter) was expected to be as clean, classical and simple as possible.

The reasons I purchased the tights mentioned are:
1) As another commenter said, you can't tell the difference visibly between them and breeches.
2) They're clean and simple.
3) They're an excellent fit and very comfortable.
4) They come in a range of (practical) colours including navy, black, chocolate and army green as well as white and 'banana'/'vanilla' (traditional cream-yellow).
5) They're incredibly budget-friendly!

IF I could buy the same quality and style of johdpurs or breeches now that I fortunately still have a wardrobe full of from my pony club days (and they're still a perfect fit and incredibly well made) then I would, but sadly I've yet to find a single manufacturer to replicate what I have.

It must be incredibly frustrating for you not to be able to find breeches without silicone patches (unheard of in my day - instead we had faux self-coloured suede and they were called 'sticky bums'!).

I wish you luck with that quest, because these days it seems every single brand has jumped on the silicone band-wagon.

Where are Moss Bros and Harry Hall when you need them???! Those were the days of bespoke, flattering and tasteful tailoring in equestrian wear.

Now it's all ghastly synthetics and don't get me started on the truly hideous gigantic space helmets plastered with diamantes and peppered with air vents which pass for equestrian headwear, but more closely resemble motorbike helmets!

The classical beauty of top hats and classically styled tail coats in Grand Prix dressage has given way (albeit for safety reasons) to the ugliest replacements possible - but that's just my opinion as something of a nostalgic dinosaur!
