I have recently piled on the weight and wanted to get some cheapish breeches whilst I am trying to slim down.

I'm probably a 36 (18) minimum.

Can anyone recommend any? Ideally under £50

Have a look at Montar on Hope Valley, they do pretty breeches in larger sizes but might be nearer the top end of your budget. Flattering cut and materials though :D edited to add - they have some on offer around your budget (full price are £90+)

I cant say personally but I have heard good things about fuller fillies joddies/breeches I believe they are ok priced too.

Personally I LOVE decathalon but I'm the opposite size so not sure how the fit is for those with more hips than myself!

I recently bought some Flexars (they're all over Facebook) and they're really comfy. I'm a 14 and bought their medium which they say is a 12-14 and there's plenty of room in them. They go up to XL which would be 18-20 I assume? I'm sure they say the cater for sizes 6-20. They cost about £50 but are by far the most comfy I've bought including some much cheaper and some much more expensive.

Thanks everyone, will have a look. I am determined to shift this weight in the next few months so hopefully will only be a stop gap. My legs are still relatively slim its just my stomach (grim!) :)

Hope you don't mind me tagging on to your topic OP. I also have a problem finding breeches, but for those of us who are vertically challenged! I have short legs and breeches are usually the length of jods on me and jods come over the ends of my toes!!! Any suggestions very welcome.

Glad to see this post! Even when I'm slim (which I'm not right now) I'm not small - and disheartened by shopping for jods when so many companies are calling a size 14-16 an XXL or something!

I did acquire some comfy ones (did say they came up big and they definitely do I sized down which is rare) off amazon recently but they turned out to be jods not breeches if that;s any good? Am similar size atm.

Snuggy Hoods riding tights! Super comfy and much more like jods than the lycra tights. Generally size down in them

Unfortunately mine came in the post and whilst they fit my waist they are so baggy on the legs and look awful :( Having to send them back
