Breeches.... sizing please help!

Am I right in thinking a size 26 would be a size 10 and 28 a size 12?

Thank you, ordered some breeches from Ebay size 12, arrived today they are a 26, so thought I would check it out before emailing the seller. Not too upset though cos they do fit so I am smiling!

Is that the pack you showed me mate? Glad I didn't buy any...I wouldn't squeeze a leg in a 26!!!
