Breeches & socks - under or over?

Do you wear socks under or over your breeches and why?

I wear knee socks over mine as this is the only way I've found to keep the Velcro flat and not rub my legs. I always make sure you can't see them from under my chaps though

Under and over - my boots are too big so I have to wear 2 pairs of socks!

I always wore mine under as it keeps the Velcro off my legs, but they do ride up and come undone, so maybe I need to start wearing them over?

Over! I have an addiction to buying knee length socks.

I have a small pair of ankle socks under the either a knee high or calf high pair over......

Over! Stops them rolling up when I pull boots on. Also, I like funky socks .

In winter I have normal socks underneath then ski socks over the top.

over - sometimes knee high - sometimes calf high, never ride in sport socks though as they always end up at the end of my riding boot and i have nothing on my feet!!

Short socks under to stop the scratcy velcro, knee length over to keep all in place.

Depends at what point I remember to put socks on prefer over as my boots are made to message ie skin tight sprayed on!! So over makes them easier to do up, no catching or stucky moments with the Velcro!

Over, even if they are an odd pair. In fact went to town in bright pink socks over brown jods complete with jod boots. Was a cracking look lol
