Breeches with fill silicone seat

I have a pair of Dublin cool it tights with a full silicone seat. They're the only pair of jodhpurs I have with a full seat. It might just be me but I don't really notice the difference between full seat and the other kind.

I have a pair of full seat jodhs with silicone, and yes, it does make your bum tacky and stick to the saddle. I've always liked full seat jodhs, but normally have the fake-leather seat ones. Couldn't get one of those as a thermal winter pair, so ended up with one that has the silicone stickies on the seat. I'd say they are more sticky/tacky than the fake leather initially (to the point where I thought it was a bit annoying, because the fabric stuck to the saddle, but I was then moving around inside my jodhs), but as you get some dirt and dust on you, they become slightly less sticky (until the next wash).
Whether it's worth the extra probably depends on whether you like a full seat or not more generally.

I love my Dublin full seat winter tights, however, the silicone bits are wearing away with use particularly between my thunder thighs 🙄

I'm really fed up of everything having silicone on them these days! :rolleyes:I'm not mad about it - it either wears away or is too sticky or everything sticks to it & there are some horror stories online of the silicone sticking to saddles & running them!!! I love a full seat but just not silicone :(

I’m the same. I hate silicone/ grippy jods or breeches. I just find them uncomfortable and too sticky

I used to hate sticky bum jods as they felt too restrictive and didn't stretch with me but I'm a convert to the silicone seats. I have a Horze pair that I've had for over a year and they still look brand new. I feel really slidey now in normal jods.

I can't abide them and I too am frustrated that almost all breeches has it these days. They really affect my ability to move in the saddle - I find them far too restrictive.

Totally agree, really don't like them I feel so restricted in the saddle and also stick to the sofa in the coffee room :D!
I used to have an Acavallo seat saver (gel out) hated that too for the same reason - one day i wore full seat silicone breeches and rode in the seat saver... holy cow i was well and truly stuck!! o_O literally had to peel my thighs off to rise.. just deiced to do the whole session in sitting trot .. put the seat saver up for sale that evening .. eek!

I love a bit of silicon...

My favourite jodhs at the moment are my Dublin cool it tights, though I'm tempted to get the winter ones too...

I love my Acavallo seat saver, but am finding it increasingly difficult to find tights or jodphurs without silicon - they’re definitely not compatible!
