Hi ya,

Does anyone else struggle to find breeches to fit and if so what makes do fit?

Basically i seem to be between a size 24 and 26. 24 are generally too small but 26 tend to fit round my hips but are too big round the waist. I also have the problem that some 26's are baggy round the backs of the knee and bum.

I went to frogpoole last night and tried on about 8 different styles and nothing fitted. The closest i got were the sticky bum ones (not sure of the make) but they were still a bit big round the waist and they only had a colour i didn't like.

I now only have two everday pairs that i own that actually fit me which are: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ladies-Breeches-Ch...1QQcmdZViewItem

Anybody know where i can find these in another colour than green/blue check and beige/black check.

Am i being too fussy, i can't bare uncomfortable breeches?!

I love neddys breeches from ebay the fullseat ones are lovely, they're strectchy well fitting and wash up like new, very very reasonable compared to some and comfy too.

I have been tempted to try them but i've now become a bit reluctant to buy any without trying them on as i'll only then have to send them back, sell them on or they'll get stuck in my wardrobe and never touched if they don't fit!!!

I love the look of the cavallo ones but i tried some last night and they were again fine round the hips but big round the waist. I haven't tried Mark todd as i haven't seen any for sale in the local shops here but will keep looking.

I don't mind paying the money if they will fit and last.

I have had to buy a pair of Tesco own ones, for our quadrille recently, in black. I bet they do beige too. They were really cheap and normally I do object to Tesco but this was a group decision.

They are sooo stretchy, comfortable, nice thick waist band, cottony, and deep in the bum/hip area. Lovely to ride in.

I take it you mean WAIST 24-26 not actually size 24-26?

Well stop moaning and bugger off!

I have absolutely the same problem. I am really skinny, if I buy a bigger waist they are real baggy on the hips & legs. The best ones I've found that fit perfectly are Euro Star & they've lasted me years & years and George Schumaker. For cheapies I've found the Harry Hall ones are ok.

You could do what a couple of my liveries do and that is try the 'maids' or children sizes. many companies do this and you will find they fit. Try being 6ft and that size!!! The other solution is wear a belt!!!

Seriously try the RTS Sportline site for those Bentex breeches, it's German but translates ok if you click the UK flag. They have a sale on at the mo and usually plenty of smaller sizes. Delivery is quick and very good quality IMO.

I've got 2 pairs of Mark Todd breeches I love them but both zips have gone! I found a new website the other day where I bought a fairly cheap pair of breeches, can't remember the make without looking though! They haven't turned up yet so I can't tell you any more about them!!!

Lol well i'm not 6' but do have long legs!! I haven't actually tried kids so that may be a good idea. Do they do kids breeches?

I live in my Mark Todd ones - I have 2 pairs with the suede knees and have just bought a pair of full seat ones, they are so comfty and the colour I get (khaki kind of colour) goes with everything

yes kids breeches for the sportline [they have a teenage range] they are exellent and you will get them cheaper as they dont have VAT on them!! and also cavallo, most of the european brands have breeches for kids as they all, well mostly wear long boots not johd boots.

Try the just togs ones, they are high waisted (can't remember the name of them) Also not bad for leg length (I find many that fit most places only come just below my knees) The JT ones come up pretty much to size, I have three pairs of 28 waist and am genrally a dress size 12 hope that helps.

i bought a joules pair in the sale- were £45 and i got them for £19- they are really nice, stretchy and comfy and dont go baggy (i haev the smae probs as you, tall and thin)

dublin supafit have little waist and room for a big butt. I wear size 24 and they are good round the waist and a little tiny bit loose around the tops of the legs. i think they must be made for normal woman proportions. some 24 are just way too tight round the hips and too big round the waist. particularly harry hall.
