Goon, amaze us by getting something really random! A basenji or something!

No! No Basenjis! They scream, voiceless dog be d@mned. Barkless yes, quiet no. And they're harder than heck to train. Run, run far and fast away from Basenjis!

There is a saying that a masochist is some one training their second Basenji.

All part of the fun! My lot won't bark bar at the doorbell, I can't stand noisy dogs.

I see a gorgeous Basenji most days when I go to work - very exotic!! The nice lady that walks him says he is delightful in many ways but an absolute b***ger in others. :)

Border Terrier, I just lost mine after 18 years and when I'm ready will be wanting another. They are wonderfully loyal little dogs. Tenacious like all terriers but mine was never dog reactive he was quite passive unless pushed. Fit enough to keep up with the horses out hacking or walking all day but not highly strung and as happy spending a day on the sofa. Happily travelled all over the country to work and shows with me and never the slightest bit of bother. Very trainable, willing to learn but not so intense that you feel you have to spend hours teaching scent work or anything to keep them occupied. In terms of grooming if you keep them the traditional way they need stripping twice a year. I found it easier just to run the clippers over mine though so very low maintenance! Honestly cannot recommend these dogs enough. I'm heartbroken to have lost mine but grateful that I fell in love with the breed because of him x
