Just wondering if anyone can help me. Would like to get my mare registered with her breed society but don't know how to go about it. I think Equicours is the society for Selle Francais in this country but I can't seem to make out how I need to go about it. Also should she be branded or can I get her branded? If not will this make much of a difference if I ever have to sell her?

Thanks

Erika

i wouldnt know specificaly about selle francais, but normaly you phone them up and get them to send you the forms, fill them in and send them back along with a nice big cheque.
normaly though unless youve brought her from abroad there is often an age limit on registering horses.

normaly yes you have to prove breeding. If you have imported the horse then your forign papers are normaly good enough, but some societies ask for DNA tests for Uk bred horses (cost around £65). If its a stallion normaly it will have to be graded and liscenced.

you would have to phone them and check but it should be.

Best way would be to PHone them and they can tell you exactly what you need and exactly how much it is going to cost.
