The Irish horse thread has just got me thinking.
what traits do you see in your animals that you feel are down to their genes/type as opposed to learned?
Of my animals I think these traits are inherent :
My Basset = stubborn, clever (but in a clever to please himself way), placid (lover not a fighter), fairly aloof
My ID = Clever (in a how best to minimise wastage of energy way
), dependable, bold, observant, very natural jump shape.
The WB I ride = Sharp (able to move very quick, which I'm told is helpful with tempi changes!), Spooky (this seems linked into the sharpness), non-aggressive, affectionate, talented mover and natural jumper.
These are just my own observations and I wondered whether they compared to other peoples?
