Breeding from a cribber

If you breed from a mare that cribs and wind sucks do you think the foal will? I know some people believe its hereditary, what do you think?

The predisposition to crib will be inherited BUT with two brood mares & foals it was the other mares foal (that did not crib) was the one that started!!

I believe that a predisposition to develop gastric ulcers will be inherited, which can encourage horses to crib.

My mare cribs for 2-3 minutes after feeding and then not at all. So far, her 3 month old filly is showing no sign of copying her.

I bred from a mare that cribbed very badly, to the extent of pulling up fence posts in sequence in the field (despite ad lib hay).
I never used a cribbing collar (they are so cruel) and my foal is now a 3yo without any stereotypies evident.
