But im going on a shopping spree at the tack shop to get some new stuff.

From memory, you should probably be wearing a brown tweed hacking jacket, shirt and tie, plain, light coloured trousers, and a riding hat, and showing cain. Definately not riding atire.

A friend of mine shows very successfully (ie its a bad day if she isnt first!) at county level, RIHS etc and specialises in hunter broodmares. She wears a navy skirt suit and navy hat and gloves and carries a showing cane. She always shows the mare in a double bridle.
The foal handler wears a hacking jacket and trilby. The foal is shown in an in hand bridle without a bit of course. If I had a scanner I would send you some photos but I havent so I cant! Sorry.

You look very smart for show jumping, but unfortunately what you're wearing isn't ideal for showing. Below is what you shoudl ideally be wearing, it's an expensive buisiness so just change as much as you can.

You should be in a tweed jacket, shirt and tie, most women wear trousers that are a different colour to the horse (so beige or light brown would probably be best here), sturdy black/brown short boots or shoes, brown gloves and a hat (beagler, trilby, bushat etc, not riding hat), preferably a showing cane too. The more co-ordinated you and the foal handler are, the better.

The mare should ideally be in a flat hunter bridle with double reins, and a few fewer plaits would be better for showing.

Good luck with her and her foal, she's lovely.
