Just wondered where everyone gets there supplies from other than their vet. Have looked at Breedingsupplies.co.uk but having spent a very precious 2 hours trying to buy from there site just now having a nightmare!
It does look like they have most things I want but interested to know where you shop.
Thanks

Personally I wouldn't spend a lot of money on foaling stuff. A lot of it clean towels, thermometer, tail bandage etc., is stuff that you are likely to have knocking around anyway. Might be worth having a couple of obstetric gloves and a bit of lube in case you need to have a feel if things aren't cracking on as they should, but to be honest your vet will probably give you these or charge you about a pound. Very weak iodine solution or chlorhexidine to dress the navel can also be obtained easily and cheaply from farm stores/chemists.

These kits seem quite overpriced to me and include a lot of stuff you are unlikely to need. I wouldn't give a foal an enema or feed a foal with a bottle. If these problems arise then you are better to get the vet out and they will have the necessary equipment.

Bits and pieces off ebay, thermometers etc dirt cheap! and from USA as exchange rate is so good here's one that will ship to the UK http://www.arssales.com/equine/index.html
Other supplies from farm stores SCATS locally, such as lamb bottles and a sawn off syringe for milking the mare etc, I always have colostrum replacer or previously frozen on standby just in case, replacer came from local feed store.

Sorry guy's should of mentioned that it was stuff like enema's, lubrication, pink stuff etc rather than foaling kit as I breed for a living and it was actually my vet that suggested I buy elsewhere as the mark-up for them is quite steep.
thanks for the replies though
