Supplements Again sorry!

I have a TB mare who is a stressy type which causes her to be a right handful (getting to the field at the moment is a struggle!) - she is spooky and bargy and on top of this she is a "tarty" marish girl at times too.

I currently feed Steady-Up which contains -

Brewer's yeast (43%), Rice bran, Magnesium carbonate (7%), Magnesium oxide (7%), Chamomile flowers, Lemon balm, B vitamin complex (2%), Silica, Maize meal.

This has had some positive effect but obviously isnt helping on all areas - I know there is no "magic powder" to solve all ;)

This works out at about £1.12 per day.

I was thinking of feeding this instead

Brewers Yeast
Magnesium
Chastetree Berry

As the main ingredients in Steady-up are BY and Mg - and then the chastetree which ive been told is good for marish behaviour - do you think this will work (I assume I can feed these 3 supplements together?) as this will work out cheaper daily than the SU??

Next time im buying a dope on a rope to save me being dragged and barged around quite so much ;)

Sounds good to me. You only need the Magnesium if they are deficient in it though. Try her with and without it, if no difference them dump the Magnesium. I use the other two with our stressy mare, she isn't Magnesium deficient.

Have you noticed a difference with weight as Ive also read tht BY is good for poor doers etc - Fee is DEF not a poor doer and dont want her to get any fatter (she is on the spring grass bulge currently!)

Ok, Im hoping it wont make too much difference to weight as thats the base for Steady-Up - suppose its trial and error!

The grass is so good at the moment where we are so she is podgy and it will be making her a bit more hyper than normal as well.
