Hello

Following all the success stories about Brewer's Yeast, I've put my horse on 20g once per day. Please would someone be able to advise me whether this is a suitable dose for a 440kg 16hh horse, and how soon i should notice a benefit?

Thanks in advance!
Becky

Mine's been on it just over a month now, 25mg twice a day 16.1 hefalump. has a fantastic shiney coat but as for the spooking, well let's say he went out this afternoon just looking for things to spook at and on the way home he did a MASSIVE spin in the middle of the road and pranced about. Thankfully the BMW 4WD that passed us at about 60, in a 30mph limit, was well gone or we'd both have been gonners! Not funny.

Lost him bringing in from the field last week too, he reared up and tanked off up the drive, round the yard and back to halt in front of me as if to day hi mum I'm back!! So you decide if it's working or not!!

Tried Top Spec calmer before BY went through 2x tubs at a cost of £44 that didn't do anything, and plain Magnesium before that. Heard that Blue Chip liquid calmer is supposed to be good. BTW horse gets turned out aprox 8 hours a day and excercised every day, he went jumping on Sunday, and that was REALLY scary! And is he a TB, WB or Arab???........

No an Irish cob for gods sake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think cobs can be far spookier than the "hotter" breeds!

Oh dear re the BY, I did hope it might calm him down, still you never know. I tried Nupafeed calmer and that just wound him up more. If the BY doesn't work I'll be trying the Blue Chip Karma, but I think it's not much different to Nupafeed (apart from the L-trytophan). Ho hum. Bless him he looks like he just wants a good de-stress! Shame I can't take him to a health spa for the day
